– We have been successful with our Nordic expression both internationally and nationally within the wallpaper industry and we are happy to launch the new wallpaper collection, says Ann-Tove Engenes, partner in Norwegian Scandinavian Surface.

This time around Scandinavian Surface has turned their attention towards theatre and drama in their search for new stories for the wall.

– The challenge we gave ourselves was to depict three different stories based on the same design. The theatrical is a central theme in the collection.

– We wanted to convey our thoughts about Shakespeare’s fabulous story of Romeo and Juliet, the legendary Madame de Pompadour and the drama of the last emperor of China, tells Scandinavian Surface’s designers.

With simple tools such as colour and structure the ambiances from the decadent Paris in France, dangerous love in Verona in Italy and secret beauty in the Forbidden City in China are depicted.

And in the background the Nordic nature is singing…
