The “Brokiga” Characters – on wallpaper
Stina Wirsén, renowned illustrator extraordinaire, has created wallpaper for Photowall based on the children’s books about the motley characters. The “Brokiga”, which means multi-coloured or patterned in Swedish, are a bunch of brave, tough and sweet (without being too sugary sweet) creatures who live in their own world of fantasy, learning and play.
All of the little Brokiga creatures have strong, individual personalities that children readily identify with. There are currently four books available, with the fifth underway. The Photowall collection features illustrations from all of the books. Here are some of the very best:
Photo wallpaper – Brokig Harlequin Brokiga Rutor (Motley Harlequin, Motley Squares)
My absolute favourite -Tolv Brandegullegula kan nästan hjula (Twelve “Brandegullegula” can almost cartwheel)
Imaginative photo wallpaper – Brokigt bus (Motley Mischief)
The cutest of all (I think) – Square Ruta (Square Square)
Brokiga is designed by Anna Hörling, a product designer with extensive experience in the field. Anna and Stina are sisters. They collaborate closely during the entire process, from the conception of an idea to the finished product.
