Curated by Fine Little Day – Five days, five designs
Hello Photowall’s blog readers!
My name is Elisabeth Dunker and I work as an all-round caretaker, run an online shop and enjoy blogging. Today I have the pleasure and honor to introduce a super fun project that I, together with Photowall, have worked on since autumn 2012 – Curated by Fine Little Day. Finally I get to show masterpieces of the five favorite designers who I repeatedly blogged about over the years.
The designers of Curated by Fine Little Day are: Mogu Takashi from Japan, Steffie Brocoli from France, Kindra Murphy from USA and Cecilia Pettersson and Klara Bothén from Sweden. In five days their wallpapers will be presented here in Photowall’s blog and in my own blog Fine Little Day. The first one is the motif Colorform by Kindra Murphy.
Wallpaper number three: Colorform by Kindra Murphy
Kindra Murphy is a designer and professor at Minneapolis College of Art and Design, where she has been teaching graphic design since 2002. She has worked as a designer for Urban Outfitters, Walker Art Center and Maine College of Art. Kindras’ work is ruggedly sophisticated with a great sense of humor. Kindra has taste, Kindra has style!
Colorform is a wallpaper that could just as well be hanging in a castle or in a hut. At first sight it looks a bit like a classical medallion wallpaper, I think. Upon closer look you will see that the pattern contains various odd details like mushrooms, a crab, sailing boats, and a big-eyed duck that cranks its arms. I am incredibly happy and proud that Kindra was able to participate in Curated by Fine Little Day. Hope you will like designs in the collection as much as I do. Do not forget to peek in again tomorrow at 11.00 when we present the next design!
